We are regularly seeing patients in our office for all types of ear, nose, and throat disorders. However, if you have symptoms suggestive of active coronavirus infection then we ask you not to make an appointment in our office in order to help us limit the spread of the disease. Instead you should go to an acute care clinic or other coronavirus testing center. If you are in a quarantine period for a positive coronavirus test or exposure to someone with the disease then you should not come to our office until that quarantine period is over.
We require all staff, patients, and family members to wear a mask during the entire visit. Your ENT doctor will briefly remove your mask to examine the nose and throat areas. If you require a diagnostic scope exam of the nose or throat then our staff will wear appropriate protective gear including N95 masks and eye protection. We are also limiting the number of people who can come to the office. We ask that adult patients come to the visit alone unless a family member is needed to help with communication or mobility issues with elderly or disabled patients. We ask that one parent accompany children or young adults and that children who do not have an appointment stay at home.
We are pleased to provide telemedicine services instead of certain face-to-face follow-up visits. For example, if we have ordered imaging or lab studies and we need to discuss the results of those studies then a telemedicine visit is appropriate. When it is time for your visit you should be in a quiet private place to discuss your healthcare. You will need to have a device such as a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone that has both audio and video capabilities.
